Massa Marittima and its surroundings are part of the Tuscan Mining Geopark (Geoparco delle Colline Metallifere) and are CETS accredited (Sustainable Tourism European Charter) since 2014.
Thanks to its peculiar geomorphology and beauty, the area has been also given the title of UNESCO Geopark.
The CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) trekking sign network covers the whole region and sometimes it is integrated with the Geopark signage system: follow these signs to visit and enjoy the natural beauties of the area in complete safety.
The park includes the territory of six municipalities; in each of them you will find an info point where you can get maps, flyers and any sort of information required.
