Remembrance Park

It is in Piazza XXIV Maggio, at the very end of Corso Diaz, in Cittanuova and it was built in 1924 in memory of the First World War deaths.
A long stairway leads to the park: here, on each tree a memorial plate states name and regiment of the deceased. A monument was erected in the middle of the park, symbolizing liberty, equality and fraternity.
In 1938 a marble bust, made in 1904 by the roman sculptor Ettore Ferrari and representing Giuseppe Mazzini was transferred here from Piazza Garibaldi.
