The region is characterized by the presence of natural caves and galleries that can be visited especially during summer. The GSMM (Speleological Group of Massa Marittima) organizes guided tours.
The GSMM is part of Speleological Federation of Tuscany and its activities have to object of promoting research and protecting the local heritage.
It is through such educational activities that people understand how important our heritage is and support research at the same time.
