Massa Tenebris is a masked event in which everyone can participate, in a predominantly Gothic, Victorian style where it is possible to take on the guise of werewolves, vampires, steampunk ghost zombies, and anything similar besides Harry Potter characters. The festival includes fire games, street performers, themed stalls, and the ‘feather in the cap’ is the presence of the Bernardino Lotti mineralogical group from Massa with mineral display stalls. The event takes place on 30 September in Massa Marittima in Piazza 24 Maggio at the Biblioteca ex-monastero delle Clarisse library from 4 p.m. to midnight. The event’s switch-on will be the mini magic school with the four houses of Harry Potter with the wizard Scorpion and LadyCristal. This will be followed by dancing, magic shows, fire games, themed dancing by Antonella Pepe of Danzart with her talented students, and will end with the all-female music group Erisu.
On site there will be gothic areas, for photo shoots, the cursed cemetery, steampunk area but also various Harry characters. All this will be accompanied by a good refreshment area with plenty of beer and sausage sandwiches and various snacks as well as themed cocktails by the Bike Garage.
